Summer is here! In preparation for the hot beach days and BBQ’s ahead, here are some tips to get organized.
Go through your old sunscreen.
Typically sunscreen has a shelf life of a couple years, but take a look at your bottles from last year and make sure they aren’t expired. Toss the old and replenish – now you are ready for the sun!
Beach Towel Refresh.
Have pilled or stained towels? Get new fresh ones! Donate the old (local animal rescue organizations are always in need) or I love to save a couple to use for wrapping up items for a move, mopping up big spills, or even stuffing a purse.
Summer Medicine Cabinet.
Bug repellent, antibiotic ointment, anti-itch lotion, band aids…go through the typical summer medicine cabinet essentials and make sure nothing is expired or depleted and restock so that you have everything on hand when you need it next.
Cover-ups and Bathing Suits.
Holes or pills on bathing suits, toss. Store your bathing suits and cover-ups close by which makes it easy to grab and go. I store mine together in one drawer – bathing suits can be folded and cover-ups can be rolled up to fit more in one space.
Check to see that the bottoms of the flops are not worn down. If so, toss. Keep your flops all together in a basket to make your life easier.
